So whatever you do, do not show cable news on your screens, in your workplace, to your employees, or even to your customers. Let me rewind. Every single business I know already has screens up on walls and they had some vision for why they put those screens there in the first place. But often over time, they become blank or just rotating a list of images around, or they end up showing cable news muted with subtitles. The issue is that the news is generally negative and divisive in many cases these days. So if we're pumping out this information to our prospective customers or our employees, we are impacting the mood of the environment. So for me, showing just even basic information, which is a bit outdated, would be better than generally bringing the vibe down. Imagine you're a potential customer. You're sat in the lobby of a building and you're watching the screen and it's talking about all of the various things which are going on in the world. You're about to go into a meeting talking about the budget for the next year. If you went in affected by what you had just seen on that screen, would you feel inclined to spend as much money, to be as optimistic for the future? The answer is simply no, you are affected by this. So when I look around, lobbies is classic, or break rooms, and I just see cable news being shown, I think, why are we doing this to ourselves? We see enough of it already. We don't need to contribute more. I understand why, because why not? But the reality is, it doesn't work. It affects the mood of the people. It changes the mood of your environment. So let's just do better than that.
